Update at bottom, haha
SO YEAH. I saw this thing people are doing which is a Holiday Wishlist, and basically you write ten things you think would be spiff to get and if someone you know does the same and you can get them it, you do so! It makes alot of people happy, I would think, even if you don't know them. Happy faces make me happy, haha.
Ok, I stole these steps from the lovely *
Malindachan! Go check out her list if you can, and yeah. x3
STEP ONE
** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.
** Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!
STEP TWO
** Surf this forum (
[link] ) and browse the lists. Here's the important part:
** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Mah list1. Gah, good grades! ;_; You kind of can't grant that, but it'd be so nice if someone could snap me into line when I get off track studying, haha. And who can actually accomidate my style of learning. That'd be neat.
2. Time to make crafts. Ah, I always stay up late and loosing hours of sleep to knit or crochet-- but I love it so much. *on a hat making frenzy*
3. A good old fasioned, four way phone call (Those aren't old fasioned) with jordan mark and jessica. Man I miss you guys.
4. Stuffed animals. Oh man do I love stuffed animals. I have so many. omgomgomg
5. For someone to convince my parents that a C in APUSH is good. Man, how I wish they'd realize school is harder now. (And that a C in an AP class is technically a B. Ohhhh man)
6. More coupons or something xD I looove buying stuff (as of late all art suplies), and have been so strapped for money recently! What am I going to do come christmas...?
7. Just... a day to chill. Not at home, not with anyone I know... Just to sit in a public place, like a park or something... with cold weather and a good cup of hot coco! So nice!
8. A drivers licence plus car! Sometimes you just wanna drive, ya know?
9. Just something new. I've been in Florida almost three years now-- I'm so used to moving! Can't I see some place new? I'm tired of the swamps and flat land ;_;
10. Everyone to be happy this holdiay season. :/ Alot of people I know loathe this time of year, but it's one of my favorites. I can really relax and loosen up! And live my religion, too-- no better time to be religious than now.
Update tiemThis week was a mix of good and bad. I didn't get online much because my dad wailed on me for a bad grade, and I've been having to do homework downstairs. No computer time for me, gah ;_; At least untill the weekend. Which was GREAT.
Friday some family friends came over and we played rockband the whole time, while telling funny stories and lame jokes xD Then saturday I had fun volunteering, played some L4D2 (Ellis, you're so amazing ;____; ), then went to the town center to shop a bit and watch the tree lighting (Which... we actually didn't catch xD) Also ate at these hip places called Bento and Mochi-- so yummy! So AZN! Haha.
Today was good too. Went to church, chilled with family friends again. Then watched Scrubs and Pushing Dasies with the family. Very relaxed, a good ending. My weekend TOTALLY made up for the bad weekdays! I'm so happy right now, I just want to cherish ittttt. I don't get good family moments all the time, so I always appreciate them! Especially since I'm always focusing on negative things, it's nice to live in good moments!
And yeah. I bought some Prismacolor markers, peach and yellow, to test them out. BOY ARE THEY EXPENSIVE. But so worth it! The color goes on nice and smooth, but dries fast! Blends well, etc etc, praise praise. But they bleed so much, haha. It's crazy.
Anyway, I think I'm going to go and knit in my room, or take it downstairs and have a cup of coco with my mom. Today... today is perfect. <3
Hope you guys had at least a slightly good weekend! Spread the holiday lists, if you can! See you all later!
